Director Announced for the Marvel Studios ‘Blade’ Reboot. Marvel Fans were ecstatic to hear Marvel Studios would be rebooting the Blade movie for the MCU and bringing back Mahershala Ali in the iconic role, with many citing the 1998 film as a catalyst for interest in superhero films for future audiences.
Though it’s been nearly two years since the film’s announcement by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige at Sandiego Comic Con and due to delays from the COVID-19 Pandemic, the reboot has finally resumed production and a director has been chosen! As contract details and negotiations are in the final stages, it seems Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli) has been tapped to direct the Blade reboot, with Stacy Osei-Kuffour (Watchmen, Hunters) penning the script for Marvel.
