LEGO Announces “Everyone is Awesome” LEGO Pride Set Coming this June. To celebrate Pride Month, LEGO has announced their first LGBTQ+ LEGO set. The new set is named “Everyone is Awesome” and features 11 figurines and is made out of 346 pieces. According to LEGO.com, “The new LEGO® Everyone is Awesome set celebrates positivity and kindness in our families, our communities and our world.”
The LEGO site also shares the companies mission statement regarding diversity in the workplace which states: “We’re committed to building a diverse organization with a unique sense of belonging to reach and inspire every child in the world. We work with a broad definition of diversity, from gender, ethnicity, background, and experience to other dimensions such as lifestyle and family responsibilities. LEGO shared the new set via social media with several promotional photos along with the caption, “We’re super excited to reveal our new set – LEGO Everyone is Awesome! Because we celebrate every LEGO builder #LEGO#EveryoneIsAwesome“
