What a big surprise that the Fire Station reopens in the Magic Kingdom with the Sorcerer of the Magic Kingdom elements removed! It has been less than a month that the beloved Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card game closed its doors for the last time. The news of the permanent closure came as a massive shock to many of us, as the beloved card game was permanently closed at the end of January.

The Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, was adored by many, requiring guests to enlist on the adventure at the Fire Station, and required guests to travel the length and breadth of the Magic Kingdom in search for magic windows with Merlin’s cards to beat evil Disney villains!

Quickly after the closure of the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, the signage above the Fire Station and around the parks were swiftly removed. Alongside the removal of the signage, the doors to Main Street Fire Station were closed for the first time in 12 years! It was a very sad sight indeed.

Until this week! When the doors of the Fire Station were open after its refurbishment! Check out the photos below!

The doors are open! Whilst the banners are removed, the Fire Station welcomes guests once more! Inviting guests in with the lovely soft lighting to reveal Fire Engine No.71 in the middle of the room!

We simply adore this wonderful vehicle, a replica of an early fire engine, which in the past has ferried guests up and down Main Street!

From the refurbishment, it seems as though the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom never existed, just like Merlin, the game has disappeared within the paint strokes and furnishings! You can see from the photos above, you can see patches from Fire Stations across the world!

It seems the Fire Station reopens with Sorcerer of the Magic Kingdom elements removed just in time for the 50th Anniversary of the Magic Kingdom. Although for many, the game will be missed alongside the excitement of collecting the cards released during special events!

A Disney lover from across the pond (England). If I'm not in the parks, I'm dreaming of my next trip. My favourite Disney character is Simba and my favourite Disney ride would have to be Space Mountain!
