Lately there has been concerns that the White House might be implementing new air travel or domestic travel restrictions. Yesterday, the White House said it is not currently considering any new domestic air travel restrictions.

“No decisions have been made around additional public health measures that would change domestic travel,” White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said.
Reports of the Biden administration considering imposing restrictions on states with high COVID-19 cases, like Florida, brought major criticism. Florida Governor DeSantis called the idea absurd and said Florida would fight back if restrictions were imposed.

Earlier reports stated the Biden administration was looking into requiring COVID-19 testing for travelers prior to boarding domestic flights. Airlines have urged the administration not to require testing. Chief executives of major U.S. airlines are scheduled to meet with the White House’s COVID-19 response coordinator today.
U.S. officials say they are not moving forward with requiring domestic testing right now but could revisit the idea if conditions change.
