‘WandaVision‘ Stars Claim a Huge Cameo is on the Way! Well before the series premiere, Marvel Fans have been speculating on who will appear in the series, and how we will see Phase 4 take shape for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
With additions such as newcomers Tayanah Parris and Kathryn Han and return of fan favorite characters Dr. Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) and Agent Jimmy Woo (Randall Park), the series is riddled with interesting characters and Easter egg after Easter egg, but what about the unexpected appearances such as Evan Peters as “Pietro”? Both Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany have shared they are beyond excited for another cameo for the series, hinting that Evan Peters was not the only shocking appearance we should be excited about!
Elizabeth has shared a “Luke Skywalker-like” appearance is on its way for WandaVision and Paul Bettany shared with Lights Camera Pod:
“I think they’re going to be massively surprised by the end of the show… And they’re going to look at the MCU [Marvel Cinematic Universe] in a whole new light… There’s this thing that’s been kept completely under wraps that happens, and I work with this actor that I have always wanted to work with… With this guy.“
The best guesses from fans include the debut of Mephisto, or the appearance of other MCU characters such as Loki, Spider-Man, the real Pietro Maximoff of Wanda’s past, and/or Doctor Strange.
Benedict Cumberbatch has been more than happy to share his excitement for the series and luckily we get to see it for ourselves! During the WandaVision Virtual Launch Event, Benedict chimed in as “Ben in London” to ask the cast about their experience and what to expect from the series. He also gave a 30-second rapid response to the series and left the entire cast in smiles and laughter as they thanked him for his kind words about the project.
This has led many fans to speculate Benedict Cumberbatch may be the cameo Olsen and Bettany have hinted at, and it does seem odd Cumberbatch seems to pop up frequently in conversations surrounding WandaVision without him starring in some capacity.
Some assume that is due to Elizabeth Olsen joining the cast of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but that seems too easy in this writers opinion.
