Those visiting Magic Kingdom will need to check their schedule to see if certain food locations are open on the day they go. For instance, the Lunching Pad, which is a quick service location in Tomorrowland, will be closed on weekdays in February.
The food service will remain open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. It’s expected to return to weekday availability in March.
This food location is unique in Magic Kingdom since it sits in the hub of Tomorrowland. For starters, you sit below both the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover and the Astro Orbiter! It’s all outdoor seating at the Lunching Pad, but you do get to enjoy eating in the shade beneath the Tomorrowland structure.
Hungry visitors can fuel up with out-of-this-world specialties including all-beef hot dogs, specialty pretzels, chips and more. They may serve a limited number of quick service entrees at the Lunching Pad, but it’s a pretty decent place for a snack.
It’s great to see such dining options at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. We recently saw both Gaston’s Tavern and Cinderella’s Royal Table open up in recent months. Another quick service location in Fantasyland, The Friar’s Nook, also reopened in the past few months. Having more dining options is wonderful for guests with appetites for different types of food.
