Disney has released a new iPhone application that is anything but Goofy.
Called Disney.com, the app rolls music, video, games and a Wikipedia of Walt Disney characters into an app for kids with an iPhone or an iPod Touch.
The application is aimed at tweens, offering games based on TV shows like “Aaron Stone†and “Wizards of Waverly Place,†as well as a Name That Tune-style game with Disney music and a trivia quiz that even an adult can play.
An encyclopedia of more than 100 Disney characters also lets kids take a picture and digitally place it in a frame matching any of those characters.
Some of the digital goodies are built into the application, but others require an Internet connection for full effect, which also adds features like streaming radio and news. Once online, you can also buy tickets for live shows like Disney on Broadway.
