Fans of the popular Epcot ride “Frozen Ever After” are going to have to “Let it Go” for a while. The boat ride, located in the Norway pavilion, is closed for refurbishment as of Monday, November 2nd.
“Frozen Ever After” is arguably one of Epcot’s busiest ride, often boasting a 60-minute wait or longer within an hour of the park’s opening. It is based on the animated favorite “Frozen,” and features all of our favorite characters from the film.
The boat ride takes guests through snowy forests and up the North Mountain to find Queen Elsa. They’ll hear familiar songs along the way, meet Olaf, Anna, and more, including an abominable snowman!
While a great ride for most children, it does contain a drop and some dark scenes that may frighten small children. But the story is familiar and sweet, the animation amazing, and you’ll be humming those tunes for the rest of the day.
But “Frozen Ever After” has had its share of glitches lately and it will be a short while before guests can sail into Arendelle again.
The refurbishment is said to take place until November 6th. Just in time for the weekend! Until then, check out the Frozen Promenade Cavalcade, featuring Elsa and Anna in their new costumes from Frozen 2, and grab some School Bread from the newly reopened bakery in Norway. Epcot still has plenty of Frozen to hold us this week!
