Earlier this month, award winning actor Jeff Bridges shared the news that he was diagnosed with Lymphoma, a cancer that begins in infection-fighting cells of the immune system, called lymphocytes. Bridges shared the news initially via Twitter in a post that read, “As the Dude would say.. New S**T has come to light. I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a series disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good. I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery.”
Well, keeping to his word, Jeff recently shared an update featuring a photo taken during one of his treatments along with the caption, “I want to thank you all for reaching out during this time, it feels good getting all the well wishes and love! I’ll be sharing more updates on “ jeffbridges.com/latest
Jeff Bridges is best known by Disney fans as Kevin Flynn and C.L.U. in the films Tron and Tron: Legacy. Bridges has received Oscars, Golden Globes, BAFTA Awards, and more for his various roles throughout his impressive acting career. Jeff has been exceedingly excited by the idea of the third TRON movie currently “in the works” at Disney, and hopes to be able to return as C.L.U. and/or Kevin Flynn depending on the outcome of TRON:Legacy.
We wish Mr. Bridges well and hope for a speedy recovery.
