Disneyland is looking for Captain America and Black Panther Stunt performers

Disney is looking for Captain America and Black Panther and Okoye performers for Disney California Adventure. Two new online auditions have been posted on Disney’s Career website.

The first audition is looking for professional stunt performers for Captain America and Black Panther. The description is as follows:

Black Panther
Casting professional STUNT PERFORMERS with extensive training and experience to portray BLACK PANTHER. Black Panther (5’10” to 6’2”) has an athletic build. This role is based off of the character from the 2018 Black Panther film. Ideal candidates should be highly proficient in hand to hand combat and be able to demonstrate a series of physical skills based on the role. Skills may include, but are not limited to: acrobatics, tumbling, bo staff handling, and wall climbing.


Captain America
Casting professional STUNT PERFORMERS with extensive training and experience to portray CAPTAIN AMERICA. Captain America (5’11” to 6’3”) has an athletic build. Ideal candidates should be highly proficient in hand to hand combat and be able to demonstrate a series of physical skills based on the role. Skills may include, but are not limited to: acrobatics, tumbling, and sword/shield combat.

The other audition is for General Okoye of the Dora Milaje from Black Panther. The description reads:

General Okoye:
Casting strong actors to portray GENERAL OKOYE. General Okoye (5’4” to 6’0”) has an athletic build and a powerful presence. She is the leader of the Dora Milaje, Wakanda’s formidable female fighting force from the 2018 Black Panther film. General Okoye performs with a shaved head.

Disneyland is looking for Captain America and Black Panther Stunt performers

Here are the requirements for submissions for both auditions:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Performers must be at least 18 years of age and a High School graduate
  • Submission must be received before September 6, 2020

These characters will be seen at Disney California Adventure park when Avengers Campus opens. The new land was originally supposed to open in July but work was delayed due to COVID-19. The parks at the Disneyland Resort remain closed, but construction on Avengers Campus has resumed. Hopefully, Disneyland will announce a reopening date soon!
