Earlier this month we reported that Disney will begin rolling out Walk-Up Dining for the My Disney Experience App.
Today the Walk-Up Dining option has gone live!
As you can see from the screenshots demand for the above restaurants is high therefore no availability is available.
We were able to click on Whispering Canyon Cafe where there was availability, once you get closer to the restaurant it will allow you to join the waitlist.
If you click any other options than NOW it will shift you to making a reservation like before.
At this time only these Disney World Restaurants have the walk-up waitlist option:
- Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village
- Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera at Disney’s Riviera Resort
- Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
I could see this as a great feature for some restaurants which typically aren’t busy but many Disney Fans are used to making Advanced Dining Reservations so I expect many popular Disney World Restaurants will have very little availability.
