Disney to Host ‘Golden Girls’ Online Event. Did you hear? The Golden Girls are now on Instagram! The new official @goldengirls account was added to the social media site and to celebrate, writer for the series Marc Cherry and lifelong fan, Jonathan Van Ness will be hosting a special #GoldenGirlsDay event live on Instagram. The special event will take place today, July 30, 2020 at 1pm PT/4pm ET on the Golden Girls Instagram page.
