Great news for Walt Disney World Resort guests looking to cool off in the morning. Disney Resorts have extended the pool hours by changing to a 9:00 AM opening time. The resort pools were opening at 11:00 AM since Disney World reopened, so the extra two hours is beneficial for resort guests. Being able to get some time in the pool before heading into the theme parks is a great way to start your Disney day!
However, the resorts do still have certain limitations in place due to COVID-19 health and safety concerns. Keeping Disney guests safe is a priority at both the theme parks and resorts.
Walt Disney World guests who wish to shower after taking a dip in the pool or working out in the fitness centers will now have to go back to their hotel room in order to wash off. All public showers at Disney World are closed until further notice.
Showers like the ones at the fitness centers and the pool restrooms will be unavailable to guests until further notice due to guidance from the government. Cast members are currently working on installing signage for these locations.
We can only assume that these measures are being taken to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
