Disney’s Live-Action ‘Mulan‘ Projected to Make $85 Million Over Opening Weekend. According to Variety, Disney’s live-action Mulan is predicted to make $85 Million or more over the course of its opening weekend. Many theaters have already seen a dip in attendance due to concerns over the spread of coronavirus, but that doesn’t seem to be a worry for Disney as predictions remain high during the domestic release of the film.

Internationally most films have been suffering at the box office due to coronavirus concerns, however, that hasn’t changed predictions for Disney’s latest live-action film. Despite theater closures through out China, South Korea, and Italy Disney has not made any plans to delay the films release worldwide.

When the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern invaders, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honored warrior, steps in to take the place of her ailing father. Masquerading as a man, Hua Jun, she is tested every step of the way and must harness her inner-strength and embrace her true potential. It is an epic journey that will transform her into an honored warrior and earn her the respect of a grateful nation… and a proud father.”
