Some sad news for Monsters Inc. and Pixar fans. Mike Wazowski is leaving Disney Hollywood Studios and will no longer be a regular meet and greet character. The popular Pixar character will be partnered with Sulley up until February 22nd. Then starting February 23rd, it will only be Sulley meeting guests at Disney Hollywood Studios.
As of right now, no reason is given as to why Mike Wazowski is exiting. We understand other changes are going into effect, such as the “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away” show coming to an end. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will make its grand debut on March 4th, so that will bring a new attraction to Disney Hollywood Studios. Some are hoping new live entertainment or character meet and greets will be announced soon. With Disney Pixar’s Onward coming to theaters soon, we wonder if those characters will be announced for Walt Disney World.
Mike and Sulley formed an iconic (or should I say eye-conic?) comedy duo in the Pixar movie universe. Even though Sulley is sticking around, it won’t be the same. Meeting them together always felt like a fun experience for many Monsters Inc. fans.
Will you miss Mike Wazowski? Hopefully, his exit will be a short one and he’ll rejoin Sulley in the future.

Hard to understand the logic for this change?
Why remove Mike only a few weeks before Disney+ releases “Monsters at Work”???
This is another change that makes the parks feel like those making decisions are not talking to each other.
