A Tampa Bay man was arrested at 8 pm on New Year’s Eve for attempting to bring a loaded 9mm handgun to Disney Springs according to an arrest report. He was stopped by Orange Country Sheriff’s Officers in the Disney Springs Orange Parking Garage.
Hector Manuel Figueroa Medina, 43, of Lutz, Florida was charged with carrying a concealed firearm without a permit and trespassing, he was booked into the Orange County Jail.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office law-enforcement dogs are trained to sniff out guns, and Lutz had his tucked into his waistband covered by his shirt.
He was released Thursday after posting a $1,000 bond.
This is the 2nd incident of people attempting to get into the Disney World Parks & Resorts with a loaded handgun. The last incident occurred just last month when a man attempted to bring a loaded gun into the Animal Kingdom in his backpack.

He was approached by Disney K9 not the sheriff’s office. He also was carrying a badge pretending to be a cop. That is why he was arreste . I know this because I read the report from the K9 at Disney.
