Disney World buys 230+ acres near their golf courses for $6 Million Dollars

Disney World recently purchased 230+ acres near their golf courses on December 23rd according to Orange County records.

According to the Orlando Business Journal, the Walt Disney Company purchased the land for $6 million, or roughly $25,531 per acre, from Winter Garden-based Lake Reedy LLC.

The land sits across from Disney’s Oak Trail, Palm and Magnolia Golf Courses.

There is no information on what they plan on doing with the purchased land, speculation is that Disney is using this land as a buffer to prevent outside businesses from moving in.

The newly purchased land is near the Flamingo Crossing Shopping Mall. You can read all about Flamingo Crossing here.
