A sweet service dog recently discovered that adventure, and happiness, are out there, on his second trip to Walt Disney World. Henry was at Animal Kingdom when he met fellow canine, Dug from Disney’s Up, and immediately lost control of his enthusiasm. It seems the phrase ”I have just met you and I love you” is appropriate for more than one dog to say!
Henry is the trusty service dog of Jessica Paulsen, a Nashville native who keeps Henry’s 111,000 Instagram followers informed of his adventures and tries to educate them about the life of a service dog. Paulsen enjoys Henry’s company as she combats postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, which can cause rapid heart rate and fainting. Henry is two years old and has accompanied Paulsen on two trips to Walt Disney World now; the first trip was in May of 2019.
It was upon meeting Dug this second time (as it appears they met back in May as well) that Henry excitedly nuzzled the costumed Cast Member as well as his coworker who was dressed as Russell, another character from the 2009 film. He was reasonably calm and posed for pictures, but obviously enjoyed his visit very much.
Paulsen shared the encounter with Henry’s Instagram followers and the post reached 19,000 likes as of Tuesday morning. It looks like a lot of people would love to explore the wilderness with a pal like Henry! It’s awfully nice to know that Walt Disney World isn’t just for the child in all of us; it’s for anyone who has a dream, even if that someone is small and furry!
