You can now spend an “Afternoon with an Artist” at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge on November 17th!
The Wilderness Lodge at Walt Disney World will be hosting an “Afternoon with an Artist” at Reunion Station on November 17th from 2-6pm. This free event will allow guests to meet Disney artist Michelle St. Laurent. Guests will also enjoy a sparkling wine toast and passed appetizers.
Michelle St. Laurent showcases her popular pieces at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts and at the Art of Disney shops on property. She uses her colorful and timeless style “to recreate the classic Disney magic, which allows each of us to be a kid again.” Here’s one of her many famous pieces below.
Michelle was inspired by Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci from a young age. When her family moved to central Florida when she was 16, she made it her ultimate goal to become a Disney artist. She worked at the Magic Kingdom during her high school years and attended the Art Institute in Ft. Lauderdale to later obtain a degree in Advertising and Design. Michelle achieved her goal of working for Disney as an artist after gaining experience as a scenic artist for other theme parks and production companies. She began painting for Disney Galleries in 1998. She has created artwork for Disney theme park merchandise and special events as part of Disney Design Group for the past decade.
Her art will be available for purchase during the “Afternoon with an Artist” event. No reservations are required.
