Construction Update: New Dining Location Coming to Epcot’s Japan Pavilion. A third Disney Dining location is coming to the Japan Pavilion in Epcot.

Let’s take a look at the construction area located in between the front of the Morocco and Japan Pavilions.

Though a name has yet to be given to the new signature dining location coming to the Japan Pavilion, we do know that Mitsukoshi USA will be operating the new restaurant.

If that name sounds familiar, its because of the Mitsukoshi Department Store and Teppan Edo, another signature dining location, offered by Mitsukoshi Restaurants.

Though the construction remains behind the iconic Disney refurbishment walls from the main pathway for guests walking around Epcot’s World Showcase, from the balcony above the Mitsukoshi Department Store you can see the ground work where the new, unnamed restaurant will be located.

It appears the walls are just starting to emerge from the already existing building, with the grounds getting prepared for the addition of the new foundation. Last we knew, there had been mounds of dirt and construction equipment in the area, so the clearing of these items is a positive sign of progress being made.
