The tropical bar and grill, Tangaroa Terrace at the Disneyland Hotel is open! The fast-casual restaurant is all spruced up with plenty of your favorites as well as some new selections to try. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has many snack time favorites including Dole Whips.
The restaurant, reminiscent of the Pacific Islands takes its design inspiration from the Enchanted Tiki Room. While there is no performance here, there are plenty of tiki birds hanging around.
Grab a bite before heading to the parks with breakfast from 6:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Choose from a full breakfast menu with items such as the healthier Acai Chia Breakfast Bowl, the stick to your ribs breakfast sandwich featuring kalua-style pork, a fried egg, hash browns, and gravy or a fan favorite of many Tangaroa Toast. If there is no time to sit down grab a snack and plan to come back for lunch or dinner.
The lunch and dinner menu offers tastebud tempting entrees and sharable options. Start off with the Kalua-StylePoutinee, the dish features crinkle fries covered with chunks of shredded pork and cheese curds. A blanket off gravy covers everything, then, for a dash of color and extra flavor pickled onions, Fresno chiles, and cilantro crown the dish.
If you are craving more of an Asian flare dish, the Pu Pu Platter is enough for the whole table. The patter is made up of four mouth-watering options Panko-crusted Long Beans tossed with a togarashi aioli, Pork Gyoza, Sweet-and-spicy Chicken Wings, and Chili- Garlic Edamame. Not in the mood to share? Any of the items on the Pu Pu Platter can be ordered individually.
Finally, the Shipwreck Nachos are loaded with a crunch and will feed a crowd. Other island-inspired dishes for one include the vegetarian Lentil Garden Bowl, the Tangaroa Salad – served with sauteed shrimp, and the Hawaiian Cheeseburger topped with a grilled pineapple ring. Kids versions are available in smaller portions.
