It’s no secret that Walt Disney World Resort is undergoing many different projects around the property. From the construction of the Disney Skyliner to various refurbishments currently being performed at several resorts, there are many projects that are being worked on all around.
Most of the time these projects cause little to no interference with visitors to Walt Disney World Resort. The construction of a new overpass, however, will result in some impacts to the area. The intersection of Osceola Parkway and Victory Way will be closed nightly (10 PM to 5 AM) from Sunday to Thursday starting on February 10. Drivers will not be able to turn left onto Victory Way while the intersection is closed. They will also not be able to turn left onto Osceola Parkway. Both the entrances and exits for Disney’s Hollywood Studios will remain open. Impacts from the construction are expected to last 6-8 weeks.
I am sure that the finished product (new overpass) will be worth the impacts in the long run. Visitors should be aware of this construction for the short-term. They should also be aware of the fact that a different route will be required during the nightly road closures instead of simply making a left turn.
