Disney Data Center Coming to NC

Disney Data Center Coming to NC

Interesting news for us Disney Bloggers here in NC. This news story broke on the Shelby Star.

According to the deed, Disney is already on its way to Kings Mountain in the form of a data center near U.S. 74.

On Tuesday, city council agreed seeking two grants, totaling $60,000, to help make Project Roosevelt a reality.

Some say Project Roosevelt, which city and county officials have said is a data center project, is in fact an alias for the Disney data center.

The two grants seek $30,000 apiece for a waterline extension at the property.

A deed filed with Cleveland County dated May 24 indicates Disney Worldwide Services, Inc. purchased 26 acres of land at the T5 data center park near Ingles.

Not sure what that means for jobs and what that data center will be housing. I will post more details as we find them.
