Bomb squad members have determined that a suspicious device found under a bus at Walt Disney World is not explosive.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Jim Solomons reports that a maintenance worker found the device during a routine inspection Thursday afternoon. His supervisors agreed that the device should not have been there, and called law enforcement. It’s still not clear what exactly the device was.
Disney spokeswoman Andrea Finger says all bus service at the park had been temporarily suspended as a precaution. The resort’s 300 buses were returned to operation as they were checked. Checking the buses wasn’t expected to take more than a couple hours. With the buses out of service, several parks were kept open an extra hour, and taxi service was expanded.
