Aperitivo Time with Chef Tony Mantuano at Terralina Crafted Italian Restaurant

Want to toast to an Italian tradition with James Beard Award-winning Chef Tony Mantuano? On Saturday, August 11, Mantuano will be hosting a special “Aperitivo Time” at his newest restaurant, Terralina Crafted Italian, which opened at Disney Springs this June.

In Italy, the word ‘aperitivo’ is used to describe the cultural tradition of gathering with friends and family for a drink and light snacks before dinner. Derived from the Latin word for “to open,” the aperitivo is designed to stimulate appetite and encourage digestion.

At Terralina Crafted Italian’s Aperitivo Time, guests will gather around the veranda and sip on Italian sparkling wines and family-style bites which will include the Antipasti Tower, Fried Olives, Mini Rice Balls and assorted flatbreads.

The kitchen is at the heart of Terralina Crafted Italian and the wood-burning over fires a selection of hand-tossed pizzas, calzone, and fresh vegetables along with dishes from the hearth including chicken parmesan and seafood cannelloni prepared with housemade pasta.

Uniquely furnished dining rooms radiate out from the kitchen, each with a collection of found art or pieces that share the stories of moments spent celebrating. Our glass conservatory sweeps down to dining at the water’s edge, giving Terralina Crafted Italian a perfect vantage point to Lake Buena Vista. The veranda bar is a welcome invitation to relax and sip on craft cocktails, muddled with fresh herbs, and linger while people-watching out over Riverfront Plaza while toasting to Terralina Crafted Italian.
