Our favorite family of super heroes return to the big scree this summer, for the action packed sequel; Incredibles 2. The new movie released June 15th, but we can explore the world of Pixar’s heroes with the beautifully illustrated The Art of Incredibles 2 book available May 8.
Everyone’s favorite family of Supers is back in Incredibles 2, and the lavishly illustrated book “The Art of Incredibles 2” offers readers an exclusive look at the artistry behind the new film. This time Helen is in the spotlight, leaving Bob at home with Violet and Dash to navigate the day -to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone must find a way to work together again. Easier said than done, even when they’re all incredible.
The Art of Incredibles 2 highlights hundreds of pieces of art developed by the team at the Academy Award-winning Pixar Animation Studios. Featuring early designs, character sketches, digital renderings, storyboards, lighting studies, and much more, these colorful pages – including an eight-page foldout – are sprinkled with stories and quotes from the director, artists, and designers that reveal the extraordinary work that went into creating Pixar’s newest animated adventure.
The Art of Incredibles 2 book also features a brilliant forward by John Lasseter, and an introduction by Brad Bird.
Be sure to catch all our favorite Pixar Supers this summer when the Incredibles 2 comes to theaters June 15th.
