Walt Disney Parks and Resorts have filed two permits with the state of Florida, both named “Project H”. These permits list two wetlands sites in the area just south of Hollywood Studios. The purpose is listed as wetlands boring and clearing. With Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge construction currently ongoing in Hollywood Studios, could these sites have something to do with the new Star Wars resort?

The new Star Wars-inspired resort will be a fully immersed journey for guests from the moment they check in. They will become citizens of the galaxy complete with authentic wardrobe and a view of space from their resort room window. This hotel is planned to compliment Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and these sites would be very close to it’s construction zone.
The permits have a listed time of mid April to the first of June for these evaluations to be completed. Maybe then we’ll know just what lies ahead for the new Star Wars inspired resort. With Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge set to open in the summer of 2019, we can only guess that the resort will follow soon after!
