Forbes Travel Guide released their ratings for 2018 and Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa earned top marks. The esteemed eatery was given a five-star rating up from its previous ranking at four stars.
In their review, Forbes had this to say about Victoria & Alberts, “There is no shortage of upscale dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resorts, but when it comes to personalized service, theatricality and sheer luxury — both in the room and on the plate — Victoria & Albert’s reigns supreme.”
This impressive distinction joins other honors received by Disney World’s most distinguished fine dining location including the AAA Five Diamond Award which it was recently awarded for the 18th consecutive year.
Forbes Travel Guide Star Ratings represents outstanding, iconic properties with near flawless service and amazing facilities. This year’s list evaluated properties in over 160 destinations across 50 countries.
The AAA Diamond Ratings cover a combination of food, service, decor and ambiance. To be awarded a Five Diamond distinction by AAA a restaurant must provide leading-edge cuisine made from the finest ingredients uniquely prepared by an acclaimed chef, served by an expert serving staff.
Victoria & Alberts features modern American cuisine with high-end ingredients and impeccable customer service. The restaurant features three unique dining experiences: the main dining room with the choice of a 7-course menu or 10 course Chef’s Tasting Menu, the intimate Queen Victoria’s Room which offers a 10-course Chef’s Tasting menu with tableside presentation and optional wine pairings and the highly sought-after 8-seat Chef’s Table located in the restaurants kitchen. Here guests can get an exclusive look at their dishes being crafted by the culinary team.
Chef Scott Hunnel and his team source markets daily for the finest produce, fish and meats to create a seasonal menu that is nothing short of divine. From Spanish Octopus with Iberico ham and sherry vinaigrette to a poached egg with Florida corn and crayfish, Chef Hunnel combines the traditional and innovative to create dishes you’ll be talking about for years to come. Victoria & Albert’s also has an incredible wine cellar with over 750 wines from 35 regions.
