Life is Like a Hurricane with the DuckTales Woo-OO DVD Review

The DuckTales Woo-OO DVD came out this week, and we were very lucky to get a copy to check out. I’ve been so excited for this new series since the very first rumor, so I was very excited to sit down and watch it with my son.

The DVD features the first episode and six bonus shorts that introduce us to the new remake of DuckTales. I have a certain bit of nostalgia with this, and I love that I get to share my favorite characters in a new modern way with my child. Scrooge McDuck is voiced by the wonderful David Tennant, and I honestly couldn’t think of a better actor for the gig. Huey Dewey and Louie are a brilliantly sly trio who are up to just as much mischief and mayhem as the original. The show also offers a bit of mystery which left me yearning for more story. It may seem like a flat jolly ride on the surface, but there are layers of story telling being laid that I’m sure will make this an intriguing series as it goes on.
