Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger, has just announced his resignation from President Trump’s White House advisory council. This announcement is in the wake of President Trump’s decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris climate accord.
As a matter of principle, I've resigned from the President's Council over the #ParisAgreement withdrawal.

Iger later issued a longer statement. “Protecting our planet and driving economic growth are critical to our future, and they aren’t mutually exclusive. I deeply disagree with the decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement and, as a matter of principle, I’ve resigned from the President’s advisory council.”
The official name of the White House advisory council is the President’s Strategic and Policy Forum, and it included many CEOs from across multiple industries. Iger was not alone in resigning, Elon Musk, CEO of both SpaceX and Tesla, Inc. has also decided to leave the President’s Strategic and Policy Forum.
