Moana from the new animated feature film “Moana” is now available for meet and greets at select Disney destinations. She was spotted at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort today, November 17th, greeting guests and recounting tales of adventure.
No formal announcement has been made by Disney yet as to where her official meet and greet location or when available times will be at Walt Disney World Resort. Although it is interesting to note that the merchandise store on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House at Polynesian Village Resort is now called “Moana Mercantile.”
Moana also began meeting with guests earlier this week at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii. She is expected to arrive at Disneyland later this month. Disney’s “Moana” sails into theaters on November 23, 2016.
From Walt Disney Animation Studios, “Moana” is the story of an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana convinces the mighty demigod Maui to guide her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought – her own identity.
