Disney always asks, “What will you celebrate?” but each year they throw in some celebrations of their own!
For guests traveling in October, November and December you can take part in Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Tickets for both of these events are at an additional cost (advanced purchase price $60.66 for ages 10 and over and $55.33 ages 3-9).
Ticket’s for both parties go on sale May 1st, both parties are very popular and it’s recommended you secure your tickets as early as possible (not to mention you save about $7 per ticket by booking early!)
If you are an Annual Passholder or a Disney Vacation Club Member your discounted rate is $56.40 (ages 10 and over) and $51.07 (ages 3-9). Annual Passholders can purchase up to 4 tickets at this rate, and Disney Vacation Club Members can purchase up to 6.
The parties run from 7pm (you can usually get in earlier!) until midnight and are only for guests with the special event ticket. During Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party you will be given Trick-or-Treat bags and a map to use throughout the Magic Kingdom, each station has different treats! The Halloween parade has a spooky start (listen for the galloping hooves and look for the headless horseman!) The parade also features all your favorite characters in their halloween costumes and a special fireworks show that is NOT to be missed! The Halloween party is also known for unique character meet n’ greets, dance parties with the characters and plenty of costumed guests to admire. Guests are encouraged to dress in costume, but Disney asks nothing that could be offensive to other guests. Rides, attractions and certain dining experiences are also available and are subject to change.
If you prefer something a bit more “jolly” Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is for you! You won’t find a more magical Christmas celebration than the one Mickey hosts. Cinderella’s Castle is enchanted with glowing icicles draped on every peak, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade features all the characters in their holiday gear and a special appearance by Santa Claus himself. Do NOT miss the Christmas fireworks: Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season. Be entertained by Disney characters, shake it with them at the dance parties and enjoy complimentary cookies and hot cocoa at stations all over the park. The cookies and cocoa are abundant and limitless…wear your stretchy pants! If you love Christmas you won’t want to miss this party and watch Disney magic in action as it snows on Mainstreet USA! Rides, attractions and certain dining experiences are also available and are subject to change.
