Way back in 1994 Chelsea Herline was a 4 year old girl visiting Disney World with her family, unfortunately on the last day at the parks she got sick and couldn’t use the last day of four day park hopper ticket. This experience happens to many families myself included.
Fast forward to today, Chelsea’s dad was cleaning out the basement in Michigan and found the old ticket. Knowing they would be going on a family vacation to Orlando they brought the ticket with them. With ticket in hand Chelsea attempted to gain admittance to the Magic Kingdom.
Chelsea had her mom bring her to the front gate of the Transportation & Ticket Center then asked her to circle back around in case she couldn’t get in. She walked up to the ticket counter with the unexpired ticket and a big smile on her face and said:
“Hi, I have a really old ticket, will you let me in?”
and they did! The cast members simply changed the old ticket in for a one day pass and let her in.
She spent the day in the park by herself enjoying all the rides she missed as a kid and taking pictures with the characters. She even got a button to celebrate the occasion!
How cool is that? Do you have any old tickets lying around?
You can read all about her extraordinary experience here.
