Five-time Grammy nominee artist Sia will be singing a cover of “Unforgettable” as the end-credit song in Pixar’s “Finding Dory“. The song was originally written by Irving Gordon in 1951, and then covered again in 1992 by Natalie Cole. This classic song seems like the perfect choice to wrap up “Finding Dory“, not only because of the song’s title being fitting towards Dory’s short term memory loss, but is also a nod to “Finding Nemo”‘s end-credit song, which was a cover of the classic “Beyond the Sea” by Robbie Williams.
Director Andrew Stanton is a big fan of Australian performer Sia, saying, “In the same way Robbie Williams did his own unique twist on a classic song for ‘Finding Nemo,’ Sia captures the soulful truth of the Nat King Cole classic ‘Unforgettable,’ and makes it all her own. They are a perfect complement to one another, just like the two films.”
Sia is honored to be a part of “Finding Dory” as well, and will be performing “Unforgettable” for the first time on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.
“Dory’s story makes me teary,” said Sia. “When Ellen asked me, I couldn’t refuse!”
