Located in Liberty Square, Liberty Tree Tavern used to house a character meal which featured Minnie in Friends in their best colonial outfits. Now, the theming remains without the character dining experience. The interior mimics something you would have found in a tavern during the late 1700s in one of the 13 original colonies! There are early America mementos all around, the like that our four fathers may have had in their own colonial homes. Each dining room is dedicated to an historical figure such as Thomas Jefferson, Betsy Ross, and others.
Lunch is served from an a la carte menu that includes pot roast, turkey, and even New England Clam Chowder. Dinner is a family affair here- literally. Dinner is served all-you-care-to-eat in Disney’s traditional family style. Expect Thanksgiving favorites like turkey breast, carved beef, mashed potatoes, and macaroni & cheese.
The Liberty Tree Tavern is open for lunch and dinner. Dinner is family style-as mentioned above-not a buffet. You will want to make reservations for the Liberty Tree Tavern, and you can view their full menu HERE.
Overall, we give Liberty Tree Tavern a “B”.
My favorite restaurant at the World!
Lunch has some great choices, but if you don’t want to make a decision then go for dinner. The platter will come with a variety of their meats and you can find your favorite. True, not nearly as many choices as there are for lunch, but turkey and beef is a winner for me.
We dined here last November. It was the best table service meal we had the whole trip! We ate lunch there, and it was yummy and relaxed! The toffee cake is amazing!
My husband and I dined here New Years Eve. Wonderful food. 🙂 The server barely talked to us. We would probably eat there again during a less busy time to see if the experience would be nicer.
We dine here every vacation! Really miss the character dining experience. The food never fails to disappoint! My husband and I each get the pot roast . It is one of the things we look forward to each year!
