Japan’s Nankai 50000 Electric Train is joining the celebration of the upcoming new movie – Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The Nankai 50000 Series electric train is a limited express multi unit train operated by Nankai Electric Railway. The 6 car trains introduced in 1994 run a limited service on the Nankai Airport line servicing Kansai International Airport. The sleek and futuristic train units are the design of architect, Hiroyuki Wakabayashi. The cars usually painted an all-over metallic deep blue have side windows elliptical in shape, giving it an aircraft-like appearance.
As part of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens celebration, the 50000 series will be decked out in a special star wars black livery. This special train will begin running November 21 through May 8, 2016.
