Back to school time is here, and you know what that means…the holidays are just around the corner! If you are trying to figure out how to make your holiday season the most memorable one yet, I have the answer…a Disney Cruise! Beginning in November, the Disney Cruise Line ships will be transformed into their holiday decor and Very Merry Time Cruises will take place. Share the sensation of the season with loved ones while you enjoy a twist on holiday traditions.
Disney’s Castaway Cay will also be transformed into a winter wonderland. Here, you will find snow flurries, a Christmas tree, and much more! Keep your eyes open for Mr. and Mrs. Snowman, dressed in their island attire and be sure to take a ride on the island’s tram, which will be decorated to resemble a reindeer, complete with antlers and a tail!
On the ship, the festivities continue. Here you will find holiday-themed entertainment, activities and decor, including a 24 food Christmas tree, garlands, poinsettias, lights and more! In addition, you can take part in:
- Deck the Deck Tropical Holiday Party (in addition to Pirate Night) with candy-cane limbo, dancing and games
- Tree Lighting Ceremony where kids help light the tree and start the festivities
- Santa Claus Meet & Greet to take the best Christmas card photo ever and meet Santa’s elves
- Meet & Greets with your favorite Disney Characters, dressed in their holiday attire, of course!
- Holiday Storytelling with tales about the holidays at sea and around the world
- Activities and Crafts for Kids such as decorating stocking, card making, scavenger hunts and more
- A Life Sized Gingerbread House made completely with edible ingredients and the chance to make your own “smaller” gingerbread house (ready for view the last week of November)
- Holiday Merchandise
If you are lucky enough to be sailing on December 24 or 25, you can also enjoy some additional holiday enhancements, such as:
- Cookies on Christmas Eve
- Special holiday towel animals
- Special holiday surprises
- Holiday caroling with the kids and crew
- Religious services
Spending the winter holidays aboard the Disney Cruise Line means more quality time together with loved ones as you sail from port to port. These special voyages will take place:
- Disney Magic- November 11-December 23, 2015
- Disney Wonder- November 6-December 24, 2015
- Disney Dream- November 9-December 24, 2015
- Disney Fantasy- November 14-December 19, 2015
