There have been a few updates and changes to some of Walt Disney World Resort park tickets this past week and we wanted to give you the full details to help you plan your next Walt Disney World vacation.
First off the price of a one-day ticket to the Walt Disney World Resort’s most popular theme park, the Magic Kingdom, now costs $105, up from $99. The increase applies to anyone 10 years and older. Younger children, aged 3 to 9, pay $99 to enter the Magic Kingdom, compared to $94 last year.
There are also ticket increases for the other Disney World theme parks, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom Park and Hollywood Studios jump to $97 for visitors aged 10 and older, up from $94 last year, and children aged 3 to 10 now pay $91 for a single-day ticket up from only $88 last year.
To put things in perspective a concert will cost you over $100 per ticket so the price increases for Walt Disney World is minimal in my opinion. I am not saying they can raise the ceiling as much as they like but some small increases are going to happen. Most people are going to buy the multi-day passes anyway, which can knock the price down to $96 per day for a two-day ticket, or $63 per day for a five-day ticket. So it’s not that bad…
Next up Disney is making some changes to some of their Theme Park ticket extras…
They are as follows:
- The No Expiration Option will no longer be offered as a theme park ticket option.
- Guests using a 1-day Water Park ticket will now be able to visit both Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park on the same day if they wish when both Water Parks are open. (This does not apply to the Water Park Fun & More Option. The Water Park Fun & More Option is unchanged.)

Wishing you Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust

Not happy with the no expiration loss. Luckily I got a ten day just last week.
I was weighing the cost of upping our days & purchasing no expiration tickets for our next trip so we would have ticket days left over for the next time. I suppose since that’s no longer an option, I won’t have to figure that up. But I do know several families it will affect, and it makes me sad for them.
Peter, you would really stop going just because they don’t have that option anymore? I have always used the No Expiration option as well so I am bummed but I will still frequent Disney. Universal is only fun for a while, Disney doesn’t get old. I guess shorter lines for the rest of us!
I think that getting rid of the no expiration date option sucks. I have family and friends that come to visit and use the passes over and over. Now they have to buy tickets each time they come. Guess we will go someplace else. Great job Disney you lost some guests that have come since u opened. Also lowering the perks on the annual passes sucks. What’s the point of being an annual pass holder if u can’t get good perks.
Im very saddened by the no expiration. We usually buy a ten day pass and use them over a few different visits
I personally will miss the No Expiration Option. There are times when family comes to visit and I get my ticket, but for one reason or another, I cannot use all my days. As a resident, I sure would like the no expiration availability. Not complaining (too much), just saying.
