How to Choose a Disneyland Paris Hotel

After you select your travel dates, the next step is to decide where to stay at Disneyland Paris!!  There are a number of options, suited to fit almost every budget.  The Disneyland Paris hotels are grouped into “Keys”, with 2 Key being the least expensive and 5 Keys being the most expensive.  Let’s dig a little deeper into the hotels!!

5 Key – Disneyland Hotel – Consider this the flagship Disneyland Paris resort!  This resort offers the best in Disney quality, service, hospitality, and location- in fact, it’s right at the entrance of Disneyland Park!  Here you will find family rooms, 24-hour room service, a Piano Bar, two restaurants, the Celestia Spa, free Wi-Fi and the ability to walk to both Disney Parks and the Disney Village.  Kids ages 4-11 can also go to Club Minnie, which is a supervised playroom where kids can play while you relax.  There are also club level amenities.  The Disneyland Hotel is the best of the best!

4 Key – Disney’s Hotel New York – This deluxe hotel offers sky-high service and larger than life decor!  You will be able to find club level amenities, along with a bar and two restaurants.  An indoor and outdoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam bath, fitness room, and tennis courts can be found at the Downtown Athletic Club, located on-site.  24-hour room service and free Wi-Fi are also available, along with an arcade for the kids.  This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Disney Parks and Disney Village, or just a few minutes via the free shuttle.

3 Key – Disney’s Newport Bay Club and Disney’s Sequoia Lodge – Disney’s Newport Bay Club is a nautical inspired resort.  Here you will find free Wi-Fi, one restaurant and one bar, along with indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, sauna, and fitness room.  For the kids, there is a children’s corner next to the bar, where parents can keep an eye on the kids while they continue to burn off energy!  This resort is about a 15 minute walk to the parks and Disney Village or a few minutes via the free shuttle.  Disney’s Sequoia Lodge salutes nature in all her majesty.  Here you will find solid wood furniture and relaxation by the glowing fireplace.  Two restaurants and a bar can be found at this hotel, along with an indoor and outdoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, and fitness room.  An indoor children’s corner and outdoor play area can also be found, along with free Wi-Fi in each room.  The Sequoia Lodge also features club level amenities and is a short walk from the parks and Disney Village as well.

3 Key – Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne and Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe – Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne takes you back to an authentic Western town and gives a true Frontierland experience!  Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe takes you to America’s South West, along Route 66.  Each hotel offers one restaurant and one bar, and the hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the parks and Disney Village, or a few minutes away via the free shuttle.  Free Wi-Fi can also be found at the hotel bar and lobby.  Kids can play at the arcade or outdoor play area.    One thing to note about the 2 Key hotels:  THERE ARE NO POOLS AND NO AIR-CONDITIONING!!  So keep this in mind if traveling during the summer!!

Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch is an experience in and of itself.  Here you will stay in a woodland cabin and relax in this rustic atmosphere.  All the cabins have a living room, kitchen with refrigerator and appliances, crockery and utensils, coffee maker, and barbecue.  A shop can be found offering food selections to allow you to eat in your cabin.  One restaurant and one bar is located on site, and free Wi-Fi is available at each of these locations.  An indoor pool with waterfall and hot tub, along with tennis and basketball courts provide recreation options.  There is no shuttle service from this hotel, so you would have to drive to the Disney Parks and Disney Village.  Kids will enjoy the outdoor Indian camp with teepees, television, and stories on the radio.  You can also take your vacation to the next level with the Treetop Adventure Trail, where you will find yourself climbing, swinging, and jumping for joy on this canopy tour.  The Ranch is located about 15 minutes away, via car, from the parks.

There are also off-site options available, if you are looking for a different experience.

  1. I really hope to, one day, go over and stay a few days and explore all of Disneyland Paris! I would also want to explore the resorts there, as well. Since I have a special place in my heart for Wilderness Lodge, here in Central Florida at WDW, I have a feeling I would enjoy a stay at the Sequoia Lodge, as well.
