Walt Disney World Resort is always a magical time during the holidays, but Downtown Disney Marketplace also has lots of magic to share.
Downtown Disney turns holiday shopping into an experience that only Disney can bring. During this festive time of year, the Marketplace will be decked out in new “uniquely handcrafted” holiday décor. With over 70 venues there is something sure to entertain everyone and even find them the perfect gifts. Not to be missed is the Festival of the Seasons which runs November 14 to December 30, 2014, and offers the chance to meet Santa Claus! With so many places to shop and lots of fabulous dining experiences it’s easy to spend an entire day at the beautiful Downtown Disney Marketplace.
There are a few things to keep in mind when visiting the Downtown Disney Marketplace since it is such a busy time of year.
- Arrive earlier in the day for a more leisurely shopping experience.
- Guests staying at select Disney Resort hotels, should take the complimentary Disney transportation, as parking may be limited.
- Guests should follow the signs to available parking, which may be located in adjacent lots across the street.
- Allow extra travel time for reservations or showtimes; we suggest 60 minutes in advance.
- When driving via I-4, you should take exit 67 for the most efficient route to Downtown Disney.
This is definitely my favorite time of year at Walt Disney World, there’s so much to see and do all across the parks, resorts, and even Downtown. I also love the opportunity to meet Santa while in Disney, it’s like double the magic to me!
