This year, May the 4th will be a day remembered for a while at Disney Store: Retail locations around the country are celebrating Star Wars Day with focus on the film that started it all, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, as well as in-store events and exclusive merchandise.
The first 100 Guests who visit Disney Store on Star Wars Day will receive a limited edition Star Wars pin, and children ages three and up are invited to learn the “Ways of the Force” — featuring activities that recreate some of A New Hope’s most memorable scenes, where they can:
- Discover the Jedi Mind Trick and learn how Obi-Wan Kenobi uses it to serve the greater good
- Master a lightsaber through hands-on training
- Help Luke Skywalker destroy the Death Star through an interactive experience on the Media Wall
- Participate in a Medal of Bravery Ceremony
May the 4th will also see the release of Disney Store-exclusive Star Wars merchandise, including action figures, lightsabers, and lots more. Check out a special preview in the accompanying slideshow.
Finally, Star Wars Day is where the fun begins, but not where it ends! Throughout May, visitors to Disney Store will be introduced to characters from A New Hope with a collectible trading cards giveaway each week (available while supplies last).
May the force, or the fourth, be with you.
Wishing you Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust
