The Walt Disney Company and Dish Network have announced that they have come to an agreement and have formed a long-term programming deal that gives the satcaster rights to Disney TV programming.

As a part of the deal, Dish agreed to modify the Hopper so users will not have the ability to skip ads in ABC shows until 3 days after the shows air Disney has granted Dish exclusive rights, letting the satcaster include Disney programming in a virtual pay-TV service.

Also as a part of the agreement, Dish will let customers watch video on Internet connected devices at home and away. Dish will also launch ESPNews, ESPNU, Disney Channel and ABC Family in HD.
