Coming soon the the Magic Kingdom – Disney Festival Of Fantasy Parade

In the new Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade you are sure to be delighted with all the new sights and sounds it has to bring. Between the all new music scored just for this parade and a twist of classic Disney tunes thrown in, it sounds like it will be amazing. The costumes have to be some of the most beautiful and elaborate I have ever seen Disney make.

With 10 different costume houses in 8 different countries working on them, this parade should have something to catch everyone’s eye. Mirena Rada is the wonderful designer who made all of this possible for us to view and helped design over 25 custom fabrics that can only been seen on the parade route. Although this isn’t her first time designing for the Disney company, it is her largest.

Some of the newest technology was used in the design of the parade by using 3D printers to make the beaks of the ravens on the Sleeping Beauty float. After printing, a sculptor shaped and customized each beak to get to the final shape. He then coated, bronzed and covered them in Swarovski stones so they will be sure to dazzle in the Florida sun.

Some of the key features in this all new parade are the 50 foot princess garden float that leads the parade, followed by the Tangled float that is said to be 3 stories tall. Up next will be the Little Mermaid float that will feature an all new rendition of ‘Under the Sea’. Time to throw in something for the boys. How about a whole new Jolly Roger float that features the lost boys who perform all around the ship.

Next in line is the Brave girl herself, Merida, who is bringing along some Scottish dancers to entertain us all.  We all know who will close this parade out for us – none other than the power couple of Disney, Mickey and Minnie. They are said to be waving and sending their love from atop a 32 foot air ship that will sail down the parade route.  Although it was hard saying goodbye, to I am sure this is going to be a very fun and memorable ‘hello’ to the new and watch fantasy land spill over onto Main Street U.S.A.
