One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World is to search for hidden Mickeys. When the imagineers design new spaces at Disney, whether it be a new attraction, restaurant, or anything else, they almost always add in some special Disney magic in the form of hidden Mickeys. In many cases, these hidden Mickeys will consist of three circles forming the classic Mickey shape; however, sometimes hidden Mickeys can be found as profiles of Mickey’s face.
So just where can you look for these fun hidden details? Hidden Mickeys can be found just about anywhere! Some of the best places to look include carpet and wallpaper at the resorts, in the queues of attractions, and even in the pavement at the parks. The hidden Mickey pictured above was found in the carpet of Fantasia Market at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. If you’re interested in searching for more hidden Mickeys at Walt Disney World, be sure to check out Steven M. Barret’s Hidden Mickeys book.

Enjoyed your article. I think it’s fun to find hidden Mickeys. However, something I think is strange are pins that are called Hidden Mickey pins but the iconic head of Mickey is right out there if full site. Do you know what they do that? There is nothing “hidden” about the heads on those pins. Any thoughts?
