Disney World Refurbishment Calendar for November 2013 and beyond

Disney World Refurbishment Calendar information is subject to change without notice and should be confirmed just prior to visiting. Updated information is available at the Disney World Website. We try to update this list once a month so be sure to check back with us towards the middle of every month for changes.

Magic Kingdom Park

• The Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover will close February 10, 2014 and re-open March 28, 2014.

• The Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom will close February 17, 2014 and will re-open to guests on March 16, 2014.

• Pinocchio Village Haus at Magic Kingdom will close February 17, 2014 and re-opens March 31, 2014.

• The Barnstormer at Magic Kingdom will close February 3, 2014 and will open again on February 6, 2014.

• The Liberty Square Riverboat at Magic Kingdom will stop running on January 21, 2014 and will be back on January 31, 2014.

• Dec. 2-12, 2013: it’s a small world will be closed for refurbishment.

• Jan. 6-Feb. 15, 2014 Casey’s Corner will be closed for refurbishment.

• Jan. 6-12, 2014: Tomorrowland Speedway will be closed for refurbishment

• Jan. 6-March 21, 2014: Splash Mountain will be closed for refurbishment.

• Jan. 13-30, 2014: The Magic Carpets of Aladdin will be closed for refurbishment.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

• Now-Nov. 22, 2013: Lights, Motors, Action! will be closed for refurbishment

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

•  The Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom, it will be closing on January 5, 2014 for 6 months. That is when they will begin the move to the new theater being built in Africa.

• Dec. 2-13, 2013: Kali River Rapids will be closed for refurbishment.

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

• Now-Dec. 21, 2013: Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will be closed for annual refurbishment.

Downtown Disney

• Now- To Be Determined: Parking Lots H, I, J and K are currently closed.
• Now-To Be Determined: Fuego is closed for refurbishment.
• Now-To Be Determined: Wetzels Pretzels is closed for refurbishment.
• Now-To Be Determined: Cap’n Jack’s Marina is closed for refurbishment.

Disney Palm Golf Course 

• Now-Mid-November 2013: Disney Palm Golf Course will be closed.

Disney’s Osprey Ridge Golf Course

• Effective Now – Disney’s Osprey Ridge Golf Course is permanently closed for play.

Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort

• Now-Dec. 20, 2013: All-Star Sports Food Court will be closed for refurbishment. The Arcade will serve as the grab-and-go food location while the Food Court is under refurbishment. During this time, arcade games will not be available. Busses will be available to bring Guests to All-Star Music for hot food.

Disney’s Polynesian Resort

• Now-December 2013: Access to the east portion of the Polynesian Beach (near the Transportation and Ticket Center, as well as Sunset Point will be unavailable due to a scheduled refurbishment. However, no other amenities will be affected. Some rooms in certain room categories in impacted buildings have been taken off the market during the renovation period.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
Please note due to a possible defect in refrigerators in some of the Guest rooms at the Walt Disney World Resort, Resort Hotels have removed or temporarily disconnected Guest room refrigerators until the issue can be resolved. Guests staying at the affected Resort hotels will be notified of the refrigerator removal via a letter in their room.

Sid Cahuenga’s at Hollywood Studios has permanently closed on November 17 2013. A MyMagic+ service center will be taking over that space.
