Love Disney but want to make sure you are saving the most? Let me tell you how my family and my clients save up to an extra 10% any deal you book! If you shop at Target you are already well on your way to being able to save on your next Disney vacation.
Next time you are shopping make sure to talk with a Target associate about signing up for either one of their cards. I personally prefer the Target RedCard Debit as there are no credit checks and it come directly out of my checking just like if I were to write a check. (just bring a check with you to signup) Whether you go with the credit card or the debit card you will then save 5% on your purchases when using one of their cards.
With this you can use your card and purchase Disney gift cards thus saving 5%! If you want to add even more savings sign-up for the Target Pharmacy Rewards card and when you fill 5 qualifying prescriptions they will send you a certificate for an additional 5% that can be combined with your normal discount!
At first glance you may be thinking 5% isn’t that much…but it adds up quick! My family fills prescriptions at Target so we use the 10% discount on our trips. We bought gift cards last trip for resort room, dining, tickets and spending and we saved over $500 in addition to Disney’s published prices! That is huge for any family!
Bottom line if you want to save more on your next vacation whether it is a Disney Cruise, Disney World or Disneyland Target is definitely the place to go! Got your gift cards? If you pay for the whole trip via gift cards the refund will be refunded back to those gift cards and then you can use those gift cards when at Disney. The only time a refund would go onto a credit card is if you paid for part of trip on credit card. This happened to us on our trip last year. We booked, a new special came out and then we had those gift cards that were refunded to use in the parks.
This savings tip is great for many but not necessarily for all. If you think there is a possibility of cancelling I wouldn’t do it unless you don’t mind a bunch of gift cards laying around waiting to be used. If you are 100% going and its not going to change then this is a super easy way to save up to 10% on top of published specials. We have a large party going in December and by the end of trip we will save well over $500!
Weigh your options as will everything. If you need direction or help feel free to email me at kari@destinationsinflorida.com. I would be more than happy to help you weigh your options.
If you pay for your package and then they have a special promotion that one can take advantage of, how will you be receive credit? Will they put in on your credit card or would they credit the Disney gift cards?
Hi Lisa! I am not sure if the discounts/cards are available to Canadians. Let me do some researching and I will message you back!
