Jedi Training Academy, an interactive show located in Hollywood Studios, is a chance for your young Padawan to learn the ways of the Force. Who better to tell you about it than my eight-year old son, Star Wars Nerd extraordinaire and huge fan of Jedi Training Academy.
Hey Eric, what do you like about Jedi Training Academy?
“You get to be a Jedi youngling, then Padawan, then Knight, and then Jedi Master.”
Are you sure you get to be all those things? I thought it was just a Padawan? What else?
“Um, you get to fight Darth Vader and hear Yoda talk. Oh, and you also get to see the Storm Troopers. You might even get to fight them.”
And?
“It’s funny. I got to talk to Darth Vader.”
Yes, it’s pretty funny. What else?
“You get a certificate when you’re done.”
And there you have it, Jedi Training Academy.
Don’t be a Nerf Herder and disappoint your little Padawan. You can read more about JTA here.
Note: Though it isn’t an especially loud attraction, making it fine for kids with sensory issues, some children might find being on stage for JTA too intimidating and the characters scary. If they have trouble following directions, they may be too young. If you’re worried about how your child may react, consider having them watch it from the audience first.
