Aaarg! Come along ye faint of heart and strong of might. If’n ye love all pirate mates and long fer a journey out at sea, then this voyage is a must sail fer yer family!
What a magical time our family had when we sailed on a recent Pirates and Pal Fireworks Voyage! If you have a pirate lover in your crew, I would highly recommend booking this adventure. We booked this event 180 days out by calling 407-939-7529. Payment by credit card was due at booking. Cost was $53.99 per adult and $30.99 per child. I was told by the Cast Member that there were no discounts for being a Passholder or DVC member for this voyage because it was so popular that Disney did notneed to give any discounts! The voyage runs Friday through Monday and leaves from the Contemporary Resort for a sail around Seven Seas Lagoon. We were asked to be at the check-in desk at 8:30pm (15 minute prior to the event starting). On the night we sailed, there were 2 boats with row seating each holding 60 people.
Upon arrival at the check-in location, everyone was given a Pirates and Pals bandana that they had to wear so no stowaways could sneak aboard! There were 2 pirate statutes where people could pose and take pictures while we were waiting to enter. Upon rope drop entry, there was a smorgasbord of snacks and drinks to loot and plunder. We were literally told to take as much as we could and fill our packs! There was 4 different kind of ice cream bars, bags of cotton candy, cake, popcorn, pretzels, cookies, chocolate doubloon coins, fruit, coffee, tea, water, and apple juice. After the snacking had settled down, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee came out for pictures. Once pictures were done, Patch and Pat, the pirate captains of the boats, along with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee led us outdoors to the docks where we boarded and headed out across the lagoon and our sea excursion was under way!
Patch the Pirate led our crew out to open water where we stopped to watch the Electric Water Parade close to the Wilderness Lodge. We love watching the Electric Water Parade and it was even cooler to see it from the water. While we were sailing into our water front view of Wishes, Patch was singing, telling tall tales, and asking Disney trivia questions. When the Wishes fireworks began, the music was piped in to the boat so it felt like you were there, just without the large crowds! The last cruise around the lagoon included more sing-alongs and trivia where each child left the boat with a small prize. As we were pulling back in to the dock, there was a surprise meet and greet waiting for us with a special Disney character to finish out a fantastic evening with pirates, new pals, and fireworks.
This event was a fantastic adventure filled with the usual touches of Disney magic. It was so great that we will book it again in the future! Have you or family been on Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage? What did you and your family think?

We also recently took our first Pirate Voyage! It was amazing and our boys – ages 2, 4, and 6 – loved every minute of it. The older two participated in the Pirates League in the Magic Kingdom earlier in the day, and arrived dressed the part 🙂 Our very shy 2 year old jumped into Patch’s arms for a picture on board and was laughing and clapping throughout our voyage. I agree, we will definitely book again on our next trip!
