8,000 Disneyland tickets have been stolen from a youth organization in Galt, California, south of Sacramento. The tickets were in a box trailer at the office of the Future Farmers of America. Authorities say a darkly colored, long bed, pick-up truck was seen on camera stealing the trailer. The thieves broke through a gate as well as a trailer lock before hooking up. Audio and visual equipment were also in the trailer.
The tickets were on their way to the 90th annual California Future Farmers of America leadership conference in Anaheim. The conference, which starts on Sunday, was to include an event at Disney California Adventure Park for thousands of youth members.
Authorities are asking for help locating the trailer. It is being described as a white, double axle, Wells Cargo trailer.
They are also warning people about the dangers of purchasing third party tickets. The stolen tickets have been electronically voided by Disneyland and new ones were reissued for the conference.
