39 Disneyland Paris cast members won an award for Outstanding Customer Service at the fifth edition of the Walt Disney Legacy Award! This award is for the cast member who goes “above and beyond to create the magic of Disney with the most important distinction in their careers!”. The award ceremony took place in September at Disneyland Paris according to their official news website.
Every cast member, crew member or Imagineer is unique and strives to provide the best possible experience for guests every day. However, some of them try their utmost for the guests, fellow cast members and the company as a whole and therefore receive The Walt Disney Legacy Award which is the highest honour.
Inspired by the one who started with the mouse, Walt Disney himself inspires this award by leaving the company a global success. Therefore, this award is dedicated to those that go above and beyond every day. The award is eligible to any employee that has two or more continuous years of service and is nominated by his or her peers. Daniel Dreux, Vice President Human Resources at Disneyland Paris, said that “No one is better placed than cast members to evaluate their colleagues’ talents! We owe them for identifying and giving these exceptional persons an opportunity to receive The Walt Disney Legacy Award,”
As mentioned, the “Walt Disney Legacy Award” is the Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products’ highest honour and recognizes individuals within the organization who excel in the criteria of Dream, Create and Inspire.
- Make dreams come true by enhancing the Disney experience by going above and beyond every day.
- Create new and efficient ways to improve the work environment to maintain the quality of the Disney brand.
- Inspire others by being inclusive, supportive and positive.
